What is it and how does it work?

DoNation Platform is a powerful tool to make a project financially viable . Here innovative, creative and ambitious initiatives become reality through the direct collaboration of people who identify with them. 

One scenario: the project page . It is there that the project creator tells his story, chooses how much to collect and in how much time. And it is on the project page itself that the supporters  will make the payment and communicate with the project creator.

At the end of the term campaign, the project can be financed or not.

What are the commitments and responsibilities of DoNation Platform?

DoNation Platform is responsible for: 

• host the project on the online platform;
• technological development ;
• answering questions and problems related to the use of the platform and financial transactions;

DoNation Platform is not responsible for financing, campaigning, running, or awarding the projects.

How much does it cost to use DoNation Platform?

It costs nothing to register a project in DoNation Platform. The fee will be charged the project is funded. In this case, we charge 10% of the total amount collected .

That is, the collection depends on the chosen financing model:

DoNation Platform will charge 10%, regardless of the amount collected . 

Why 10%?

This amount includes both the DoNation Platform fee (for platform operation and maintenance) and the payment method fee that processes the financial transactions on telcos;

Of these 10% who have DoNation Platform, 50% is invest in-house charitable projects, 30% in Operations, which help us to make this platform alive, 16% in taxes and 4% in Marketing. 

Where does the money that funds the projects come from?

In most cases, at least 50% of the revenue will come from the projects creator own network of contacts. That’s why DoNation Platform is a way for the creators to get closer to the people they already love and follow their work and expand this network through social media, newspapers, magazines, blogs and, of course, the bars of life.

Why do people contribute? 

Many of the people support projects of their donors, friends and relatives. A good amount of Supporters are people who have been inspired by the campaign communicated and want to be part of something bigger. Some others were already admirers of the work of that Organisation. It is common for the same project to attract supporters with different motivations. 

Is it hard work capturing resources this way?

Very! There is nothing easy money on the internet.

The Director has to work well before, during and after the collection period, but we guarantee it will be worth it. This process will help the Director strengthen his network with people who believe in his work and, of course, be able to have his project funded.

To place a project in DoNation Platform you will need (at least):

• Expose your project clearly and attractively
• Plan your Campaign (map contacts, networks, blogs, portals, newspapers, magazines, etc., relevant in your niche to help you to pump the capture)
• Work intensively on publicizing your Campaign while you are collecting;

Having your project funded, you’ll have to:

• Carry out the project;
• Maintain contact with your supporters;
• Produce and deliver the rewards (if you have chosen to offer them).

What are the creator’s responsibilities?

It is the sole responsibility of the creator everything that concerns:

• to project formatting
• content exposed in the campaign
• planning and dissemination of the collection campaign
• to project execution
• to the production and delivery of rewards
• communication with supporters

How does the copyright issue?

The creators of the projects are left with 100% of the copyrights of their ideas/campaigns, without any participation of the Supporters. The creators has all the protection of the Pakistan legal system (XXXX, intellectual property law) for such a situation. But the Creators also has to know that when using DoNation Platform, he is trying to raise resources for his project publicly and, therefore, he risks taking his idea from being copied and developed by third parties. We can not prevent this from occurring, nor do we have responsibility for this situation, which completely escapes our control.

Who can support a project?

DoNation Platform accepts support from individuals over 18 or legal entities. We accept national support, through SMS.

What are the responsibilities of the supporter?

A project will only be funded if people decide to collaborate. When making a payment, the sponsor is giving, in addition to a cash value, a vote of confidence to the proposal presented by the director. 

In this way, when making a support, the user has the responsibility  to inform himself about the project, to read and accept the terms of use, to offer true information and to keep his registration updated.

If, for any reason, the project is disregarding any of the DoNation Platform Guideline, the user is expected to notify DoNation Platform via the report button.
