1. Dissemination of the project
Your networks
Most people do not like to support projects that are not walking on their own, so it is very important to make the green bar start growing before reaching the general public, ie it is essential to bring people closer to you and to your project to support and take your collection from scratch. From this first network it is much more likely that people less familiar with you and your campaign (like most users of the DoNation Platform) are interested in supporting. So start by activating your closest relationship circles!
There is no magic trick, we know that what really makes a collection gear is the very network that comes from the director and his acquaintances. That’s why, as a tool, we understand that our role is to empower you to mobilize and expand your network throughout the collection term and strive to make a lot of tips available on our materials, be sure to check:

DoNation Platform Networks
As there are a few hundred online projects on the platform at the same time, we can not commit to the disclosure of all, therefore, requests for disclosure will not be met. It is not something we offer as a service, it can happen on time but this depends exclusively on the performance of the campaign and the editorial choices of our team.
News
The News tab is an important communication tool and can be used in different ways, during and after the campaign ends.
This tool is meant to create a space for you to communicate with your supporters and those interested in your project during all phases of your campaign (from collection to after rewards delivery).
There are 3 basic ways to use the tool:
- Post public: the message will be sent by email to all the supporters and will be public on the page of your project;
- Private post for supporters: message will be e-mailed to all supporters and will be visible only to those supporters
- Post private and targeted to supporters of a given reward: the message will be emailed to the group of supporters you select and will be visible on the project page for that group only.
Of course you should use other communication channels, but always try to replicate what is being said in the News tab as well. It is worth saying that through our delivery system you will also be able to see if the emails have been delivered and if they are being opened by your supporters. It’s a great way to measure whether your message is reaching people and whether it’s engaging them!

Interact through the Comments tab ! Follow community feedback gathered around your idea. Participate in the discussions, answer the questions, and thank the compliments. Preferably, ignore the trolls if any;)
My campaign
Now you can share your project through the MY CAMPAIGN tab. In this tab you can mark your friends in the post inviting them to know your campaign, support and help in the disclosure.
Send inbox on facebook
In addition, through the My Campaign tab, you can send direct messages to your supporters. Facebook Messenger is a great channel for starting more personal conversations with those who can either help with financial support or spreading the idea across networks.
Positioning of projects and highlighting on site
Projects today are ordered by 2 factors:
Popularity algorithm: which measures the number of confirmed supports for each project in the last 48h. That is, the campaigns that are busiest tend to stay in focus and this changes constantly.
Recommendations: These are the editorial choices of our team, which are well-governed by the campaigns’ performance as well.
2. Follow-up of the collection
My campaign tab
In the My Campaign tab, which appears on the left bar when you access the page of your project, you will find the quickest and most brief way to check the progress of your collection in DoNation Platform. There you will find various data and graphs to help you understand the impact of your actions and design new strategies throughout the campaign.
Check below what kind of information you can extract from each session of the My Campaign tab.
Campaign Summary
In the summary that appears at the top of the page you can check to see in real time:
- Status of your project
- % raised so far (value of confirmed supports ÷ goal value)
- Amount of support confirmed so far (Rs)
- Number of supports confirmed so far
- Number of days remaining: how many days left before the end of the collection
Chart of confirmed supports per day
This chart shows the evolution of the campaign in relation to the number of confirmed supports per day.
It is important to note that in this chart it is considered the Greenwich time zone , which is 3 hours ahead of the Brasilia time zone, so it is normal for confirmed support after 9 pm to be counted in the chart as next day support.
Value chart (Rs) confirmed per day
In this chart you can check the sum of the supports that have been confirmed day by day.
It is important to note that in this chart is considered the Greenwich timezone , which is 3 hours ahead of Brasilia time zone, so it is normal for confirmed values after 9pm to be counted in the chart as values the next day.
Project visitors graph
This chart shows the number of unique visitors who contacted your campaign through the DoNation Platform project page.
Visitor data is fetched through our event sink and can take up to 24 hours to update on the My Campaign tab. Data on supporters are counted in real time by the system. With this, at some point there may be more support than visitors to the projects, due to this update delay.
Support Source Tool
Through this tool you can understand more precisely where your supporters are coming from and how much they are contributing. Whenever a page access of your project results in confirmed support in that same session, the source of the support and the amount of support will be accounted for in this chart.
The source of support is the source tracking of the support traffic, ie from which page that user is coming from. There are two types of fonts:
Sources of backups that came without ref, meaning that they did not have custom tracking
Direct: The supporter typed the project link in the browser
www.google.com: The supporter clicked on the project through Google search
www.facebook.com: The sponsor clicked on the project link on some page inside Facebook or
Assorted links: The supporter came to the project through another website. In that case, the site link will appear.
Sources of supports that came with ref, that is, that had the personalized disclosure link
Pages or notifications sent by DoNation Platform: we automatically add refs to our pages, for example: DoNation Platform search / Support notification canceled / Design news post / Recommended projects on homepage / Recent projects on DoNation Platform Facebook homepage / Projects
Customized communication by the director: In this case, you are responsible for including ref in the actions you want to monitor. This way you will be able to track which of your communication strategies support is coming to. To add a ref in your communication, you must add the following code at the end of your disclosure link 😕 Ref = name_ref Example:You are scheduling to send an email to your family on November 21 to tell about your project and want to know how many supports will come from that communication. In that case, you could send a link containing: project link + ? Ref = + tracking code
With these conditions,
After you post it, you can follow up if someone who clicked on this link to support the project confirmed your support.
Refs are important ways for you to evaluate which are the main channels of communication. You can use it as many times as you like and on any channel you like, facebook, whatsapp, youtube, email, etc. Just you customize the link, send it to your potential supporters and follow through the table!
Geographical location of the Support
The geographical location of the supports organizes the support by the state of location of the supporter, number of supports and amount collected by people from that state. That way you can get a good sense of audience receptivity in a particular place and analyze your campaign efforts and even evaluate your logistics for delivery of the rewards.
Click the “Remember me” button
Finally, on this tab you can see how many people have clicked the “Remember me” button so far. These people did not support the project, but they liked the idea and will receive a reminder, 48 hours before the deadline, to visit the page and rethink if they embark on this journey with you.
Aba Support Report
The Support Reports tab is where you can track your project’s support in real time!
- Date of creation of support
- Name of the supporter
- Supporter Contact Email
- Whether the support is public or not
- Support Status
- Value of support
- Reward selected by supporter
- Reward delivery status
Support Status
Support can have different status types:
Filters
For easy viewing, you can filter your supports by the following categories:
- Support Status
- Reward selected
- Reward delivery status
- Supporter name or email
Download reports
Through the Support report tab you can also download spreadsheets (XLS or CSV) with more detailed information about each support such as:
- Reward selected by supporter
- Reward delivery estimate
- Date of confirmation of support
- Name of the supporter
- Support Email
- Supporter’s CPF or CNPJ
- Support address
- Street / Number / Complement / Neighborhood / City / State / ZIP Code
- Option for anonymous support (yes or no)
To download consolidated reports, just click [Download Reports] in the right corner of the screen (just below the search field) and select the report you want to download and the type of file of your choice.
It is worth remembering that during the collection these reports will be constantly updated as new support is confirmed. The final version will only be available after the collection is closed.
The information of the supporters is confidential! They are made available only to you to maintain communication with supporters and to handle rewards delivery, that is, never publish this information on the internet or share it with third parties.
Completion of collection
In order for a collection to be finalized, it is necessary that the deadline defined by the director has expired and that there is no more support started (pending) for the project.
If the project still has started support (pending) when the collection deadline comes to an end, we will have to wait for confirmation of these payments for up to 4 business days . During this time the project will have a status of “Waiting”. This deadline allows supporters who have issued a ticket on the last day of the campaign to pay and the Bank can send us this confirmation.
After accounting for outstanding payments, we can accurately report the total amount collected for the campaign and,in the case of all-or-nothing projects , if the collection reached the goal, that is, if the campaign was financed.
These process steps can be tracked in real time through the My Campaign tab within the project page. In addition, the DoNation Platform will send an email notification to the director whenever the project passes from one phase to another.
COMMON QUESTIONS:
How do I know if my collection is going well?
In general, successful campaigns have 2 collection peaks: one in the first week and one in the last days before the deadline burst (the famous final stretch).
We can divide a campaign into 3 main steps:
The 1st Week
The first peak happens as early as the first week of the project on the air and is made up of supporters of their first level of relationship . At this time it is good to use channels that can be broken by affinity and proximity, such as Facebook and mailling. Bet on the individual contact in that first moment.
Calm
After the furor of the first week the number of supports diminishes significantly and the important thing is not to let zero, leaving for a mass campaign. Remember, money matters, but that’s not all. To reach this new group of people you will need disseminators responsible for breaking your initial circle of contacts.
The final stretch
After the calm comes the storm. In the last days of collection, the sense of urgency that insists on the stakeholders who have not yet made the support for the project causes a notable increase in contributions, but that does not mean that you should reduce your outreach effort, quite the contrary!

Can I have more than one online project at a time?
It is not forbidden, but we generally do not recommend this type of strategy for two very important reasons: it is not good for you and not good for your supporters (especially if this is your first experience with collective funding).
Having more than one project in the collection at the same time can make it difficult to publicize, divide and confuse your audience, greatly reducing the chances of you achieving your goal on any of the two (or more) projects.
What are the differences between the counters in the project page?
It is quite common that there are differences between the number of supports, the number of people and the number of rewards chosen in a given project. This happens because the same person (supporter) can make two different supports (payments), one of them selects a reward and the other does not select any, and depending on the moment you look, one of these payments may already be confirmed and another still pending.
Understanding the differences between the types of counters in the page of your project is very important to follow the progress of the collection. Below we explain each one of them better.
In public areas: visible to any user
As you progress through the collection you can see how many people (supporters) have one or more confirmed supports for the project (plus how much it represents in financial value and percentage of the project goal).
This same count of people also appears on the Supporters tab.
Already in each reward box is counted the number of supports (payments) in which that particular reward was selected – and there is still a difference in the way the already confirmed supports and those that are still pending are shown.
In private areas: visible only to the director
Within the My Campaign tab, both the “STATUS” bar and the “Origin of the support” and the “Geographic location of the support” tables only support (payments) are counted, which are already confirmed.
In the Support Report tab, the standard counter will always show the total number of payments, counting both confirmed and pending supports. To check the number of supports by status just apply the filter you want.
