Rashid, a thirty-eight years old married man by the grace of Almighty Allah and with the support of DoNation Foundation’s donors set up his own workshop, Rashid Motorcycle Workshop in August, 2018. Rashid is a trained motorcycle mechanic, who was humbly working at a shop making energy savers. He could do much more, but he didn’t have enough resources to start his own business. What he did have was an ambition. An ambition to support his four children attend decent schools and pay his family’s utility bills with dignity through lawful earnings.
He contacted DoNation Foundation for an interest free loan to start his own motorcycle repair workshop, and now, Alhamdolillah, he is earning a sufficient and sustainable income. Rashid’s children are going to school, and he has more freedom to follow his other dreams!
